In addition to the in depth study of traditional techniques, repertoire, and interpretation, I am particularly interested in examining the intersection between mindfulness and meditation practice as it applies to supporting individual playing. Mindfulness and meditation techniques have been extraordinarily beneficial in my own practice, and I find it important to explore this in my teaching both using the violin but also with focused conversation, journaling, and exploration of mind, intention, and concentration.

Over the years, I’ve taught classes and workshops at the Australian Academy of Music, Longy School of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Interlochen School of Music, Shenandoah Conservatory, University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin, and Brandeis University among others.
